Whether you choose a pool or swim spa, you can incorporate your favorite land exercises into your time in the water. Jogging, jumping knee tucks, squats and arm exercises with aquatic dumbbells are very effective when done in the water.

That’s because water resistance ups your calorie burn while also providing you with a zero-impact workout — and that’s great for your joint health.

3. Have a Hobby

Taking up a hobby is beneficial for your mental and physical health. Even if the pastime you choose isn’t a physical one, doing something you enjoy helps you to relax and de-stress.
